She dated Tavros for a while. But because of his allergies to cats, they broke up. She still will always feel something for tavros, but right now they are focused in being just friends. She has fell in love with Karkat, She has gotten as close as she can with him, They are best friends. And that is good enough for her. She wants him to be happy, and the one who makes him happy is Terezi. so she tries to do whatever she can to get him with terezi. She is also good friends with terezi. She tries to be nice to all the trolls. Kanaya is very sweet to her, making her feel comfortable to open up to if needed

History:
Nepeta was born Ai Takayomi. Up until Nepeta was 10 years old her parents where abusive. Her mother was raped at the age of 16, and her boyfriend didnt approve. But in order to maintain his male dominance he married her, to hurt the child that wasnt his. Her father abused her, when he felt he needed to be strong. He developed a smoking habit. And her mother would tell Nepeta the only reason she kept her was because her grandmother forced her too. She would tell Nepeta that it was her fault her mothers life was ruined. She was burned, beaten, humiliated, and cut up until Nepeta was 10, she ran away. Her mother never sent out looking for her. For two years Nepeta lived on her own, and made due of what she could. One day in the market store equius and her started to have a conversation. He started to become protective of her. They had talked for years, and became friends, When she turned 13, she lived with an old woman who loved cats. The womans name was Rose Leijon. Rose has named her Nepeta, for rose's own love of cats. Nepeta was Rose's "little flower". On Nepeta's 16th birthday she returned home from her new job at the frozen yogurt shop to find her "Momo" dead. Rose was an old woman. Nepeta doesnt celebrate her birthday because of this reason. She decided to continue life on her own. When equius turned 18 he adopted Nepeta, and she moved in with him. Leaving those memories behind. From that point, she tried to cover her past, and become happy. She is very happy now. Everything is going fine. No one needs to know about her past. Other than Equius.
